THERE IS A VERY SIMPLE ANSWER TO THIS – YOU DON’T HAVE TO.
With Datalign you can elect to have your data stay on your infrastructure and be looked after by your own people. Your Datalign data governance system can be placed on your own cloud-based infrastructure as you see fit. Datalign modules designed by Combase will be published as they are constructed, and you are free to implement them when it suits you. If you decide to use them, you can load the modules using the update procedure on your DGP. The update procedure will show you which new modules have been made available and these can be selected as needed. The DGP handles the installation process automatically.
THERE IS NO VENDOR LOCK-IN.
When you choose to host a Datalign based DGP you also get the documentation and the source code. This means you are free to continue development on your own or with a different vendor. We also encourage you to add processors to your system, and then register those processes using the intuitive user interface provided by Datalign.
IF YOU OWN THE SOFTWARE WHY WOULD YOU STAY WITH COMBASE?
Subscribers to Datalign are offered enhancements to the system on a fairly regular basis. Each new subscriber can select a number of new modules from the curated list of possibilities. When these are developed, they are made available to other subscribers as part of the subscription. This is our way of adding bang to your buck.
You can also elect to use Datalign as a Software as a Service (SaaS) offering. THE ADVANTAGE OF THIS IS THAT YOU DO NOT NEED TO GET YOUR CLOUD INFRASTRUCTURE SECURITY CERTIFIED BECAUSE COMBASE HAS DONE ALL OF THE WORK FOR YOU.
You also do not need to worry about system and budget monitoring, backup and recovery, security updates and so on.
IT ALSO MEANS THAT COMBASE DATA SCIENTIST ARE ALWAYS ON HAND (they are included in the deal) to help you solve some of the more difficult issues
